### Polygon

A closed plane figure whose sides are straight line segments that are connected endpoint to endpoint.

### Vertex

The point where two rays meet in an angle.

### Isosceles Triangle

A triangle with at least two congruent sides.

### Scalene Triangle

A triangle with no congruent sides.

### Right Angle

A triangle that has one right angle.

### Acute Angle

An angle that is less than 90% angle.

### Obtuse Angle

An angle that is greater than 90% angle.

### Parallelogram

A shape with 2 pairs of opposite sides that are parallel and 2 pairs of opposite sides that are congruent.

### Trapezoid

A shape with exactly one pair of parallel sides.

### Rectangle

A shape with 2 pairs of congruent sides and 4 right angles.

### Rhombus

A shape with 4 congruent sides and 2 pairs of congruent angles.

### Square

A shape with 4 congruent sides and 4 right angles.

A polygon with 4 sides and 4 angles.

### Diagonal

A diagonal of a polygon is a line segment that connects two of the vertices of the polygon. It is not a side of the figure.

### Congruent Figures

Figures that have the same shape and size.

### Equilateral Triangle

A triangle with all sides congruent.
