### base (of a polygon or 3D figure)

A side of a polygon; a face of a three-dimensional figure by which the figure is measured or classified.

### congruent

Having the same size and shape.

### cube

A rectangular prism with six congruent square faces.

### decagon

A polygon with ten sides.

### edge

The line segment along which two faces of a polyhedron intersect.

### face

A flat surface of a polyhedron.

### heptagon

A seven-sided polygon.

### hexagon

A six-sided polygon.

### nonagon

A nine-sided polygon.

### octagon

An eight-sided polygon.

### parallel lines

Lines that never intersect.

### parallelogram

A quadrilateral with two pairs of parallel sides.

### pentagon

A five-sided polygon.

### polygon

A closed plane figure formed by three or more line segments that intersect only at their endpoints.
