Definitions

plot The sequence of actions that happen to or are gone by the CHARACTERS IN A STORY.
opening The setting, characters, and conflict are INTRODUCED.
rising action The MAIN character tries to SOLVE his or her problem.
problem/conflict It may be internal or external. It may be between two or more characters, it may involve a character contronting nature, or it may be within a character.
turning point The EVENT that lets you know things are about to CHANGE.
climax The main character faces his or her problem at last; usually the MOST EXCITING PART OF THE STORY.
falling action The main character realizes how the problem was solved and perhaps LEARNS A LESSON IN LIFE.
resolution Someone has cleared up the mystery, solved the problem, or staightened out the MESS.
amiable PLEASANT in disposition; good natured
cultured CULTivated; refined
dismayed to fill with APPREHENSION or dread
gregarious seeking and enjoying THE COMPANY OF OTHERS; sociable
