plot | The sequence of actions that happen to or are gone by the CHARACTERS IN A STORY. |
opening | The setting, characters, and conflict are INTRODUCED. |
rising action | The MAIN character tries to SOLVE his or her problem. |
problem/conflict | It may be internal or external. It may be between two or more characters, it may involve a character contronting nature, or it may be within a character. |
turning point | The EVENT that lets you know things are about to CHANGE. |
climax | The main character faces his or her problem at last; usually the MOST EXCITING PART OF THE STORY. |
falling action | The main character realizes how the problem was solved and perhaps LEARNS A LESSON IN LIFE. |
resolution | Someone has cleared up the mystery, solved the problem, or staightened out the MESS. |
