### Acceleration

The rate of change of velocity. (vector quantity)

### Average Velocity

Total displacement divided by total time. (vector quantity)

### Constant Velocity

Movement with no change in speed or direction.

### Decelleration

The same as negative acceleration. "Slowing down."

### Distance

The change in position of an object. "How far." (scalar quantity)

### Displacement

The change in position of an object in a direction. "Distance in a direction." (Vector quantity)

### Instantaneous Velocity

The speed and direction of an object at a given moment.

### Average Speed

Total distance divided by total time. (scalar quantity)

### Instantaneous Speed

How fast an object is moving at a given moment.

### Negative Acceleration

Accelerating against the direction of motion. "slowing down."

### Relative Speed

The rate of motion compared to something that is assumed to be stationary. (scalar quantity)

### Speed

The rate at which an object changes postion. "How fast." (scalar quantity)

### Scalar Quantitiy

A quantity that has only magnitude (how much).

### Velocity

Speed in a given direction. (vector quantity)

### Vector Quantity

A quantity that has both magnitude (how much) and direction.

### Constant Speed

Movement where the rate of change of position remains the same but direction CAN be changing. (scalar quantity)
