Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard so that we do not drift away from it.
Do not lose heart when the Lord rebukes you because the Lord disciplines those he loves and punishes everyone he accepts as a son. Endure hardship as discipline. ... God disciplines us for our good that we may share in his holiness ... It produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
2 Cor 9:24-27
Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
But solid food is for the mature,who because of practice have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.
For you did not receive a spirit that akes you a slave again to fear, but you recieved the Spirit of sonship.
2 Chron 7:14
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Now finish the work so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means.

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in alll kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith . . . may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Christ Jesus is revealed.
2 Cor 4:16-18
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.  For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.  So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
"For God so loved the world, that He gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish, but might have eternal life."
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. For those He foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of His son.
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the stength of my heart and my portion forever.

For the secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.

You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such oppostion from sinful men so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
Many are teh woes of the wicked, but the Lord's unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in HIm.
1 Jn 1:9
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify from all unrighteousness.
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
When I am afraid, I will trust in You. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?
2 Cor 12:9-10
But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
1. You shall have no other gods before me
2. You shall not make idols
3. You shall not use the Lord's name in vain
4. Remember the Sabbath by keeping it holy
5. Honor your father and your mother
6. You shall not murder
7. You shall not commit adultery
8. You shall not steal
9. You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor
10. You shall not covet your neighbor's house, his wife, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.
Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts tehm into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.  But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.  The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.  Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.
See to it that no one takes you captive thru hollow and deceptive philosophies which depend on human traditions and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.
Not only so, but we also rejoice in our suffering because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.
1 Cor 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Do everything without grumbling or arguing so that you may become blameless and pure . . .
Mt 7:1, 5
Do not judge, or you too will be judged. . . . . You hypocrite, 1st take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds,  because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.  Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
1 Cor 10:13
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
1 Thess 4:16-18
Be joyful always, pray continuously, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
Rom 12:19, 21
"It is mine to avenge, I will repay" says the Lord.
Do not be overcome with evil but overcome evil with good.
For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
Let you conversations be always full of grace, seasoned with salt,so that you may know how to answer everyone.
Those who know your name will trust in You, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.
Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
1 Cor 6:19-20
"Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
For we do not have a high b=priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. let us then approach the hrone of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
2 Cor 10:5
we demolish arguments and very pretension that set itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed by faith from 1st to last. . . .
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
When things are good be happy, but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other.
encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness.
2 Cor 1:8
We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life. Indeed in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves, but on God who raises the dead.
8 More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ,
1 Cor 15:58
Therefore my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourself fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
I am the vine and you are the branches. If you abide in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.

No one who lives in Him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen Him or known Him.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
2 Pet 1:3-4
His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.  Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as if you were working for Jesus himself, not just for others.
. . . . Everyone who is called by my name whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.
The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with loud singing.
The king's heart is in the hands of the Lord, He directs it like a watercourse wherever He pleases.
. . . "I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go. If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.
1 Cor 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.  Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
Let us not grow weary in doing good for at teh proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
2 Cor 1:4
. . . who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with teh comfort we ourselves have recieved from God.
Therefore God has mercy on whom He wants to have mercy and He hardens whom He wants to harden.
2 Cor 1:10-11
On Him we have set our hope that He will continue to deliver us as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.
1 Pet 4:19
So then, those who suffer according to God's will should commit themselves to their faithful creator and continue to do good.
The purposes of a man's heart are deep wathers, but a man of understanding draws them out.
Folly is bound up n the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline will drive it far from him.
Prov 18:13, 17
He who answers before listening - that is his folly and shame. The 1st to present his case seems right, until another comes forward and questions him.
I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.
We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will.
More Than Conquerors
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:
"For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
