| the weeds among the wheat | an enemy sowed seeds in a field, wihich grew weeds around a man's wheat, the man told his servant not to uproot the weeds until the wheat grew up, then separate them |

| the laborers in the vineyard | kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who hired workers, he found idle men and hired them too, all the workers received the same wage, even though some started the day later, the laborers thought that this was unfair; the last will be first and the first shall be last; God treats all who come to Him equally |
| the wicked tenant | landowner of a vineyard built a fence and a watchtower and leased it; he sent a slave to the tenant at harvest time to collect, the tenants killed the slaves and the owner's son, the owner punished them, just as the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to those who deserve it |
| the wedding banquet | kingdom of heaven is like a king who invites strangers, good and bad to the wedding hall, there's a man without a wedding robe who gets thrown out of a banquet: many are called but few are chosen |
| the faithful servant | master puts the good slave in charge of the household, and he does well, but a wicked slave will be found out and punished by the master; God will reward the good servant, and punish the bad servant |
| the ten bridesmaids | kingdom of heaven is like five foolish brides with lamps and no oil, and five wise ones with oil, the foolish wanted some of the wise women's oil, but they said no, get your own; be alert, be prepared, you don't know the day or the hour that you will be called to heaven |
