 integer | any of the natural numbers (positive or negative) or zero. |
| absolute value | the distance , The distance a number is from zero on a number line. |
| zero pair | a number and its opposite, which add to 0. |
| negative integer | an integer that is less than (to the left of) zero. |
| positive integer | an integer that is greater than (to the right of) zero. |
| mean | an average of n numbers computed by adding some function of the numbers and dividing by some function of n. |
| mode | the number that occurs most often in a set of data. |
| median | the middle number in a set of numbers that are listed in order. |
| range | the difference between the highest and lowest scores in a distribution. |
| inverse | math operations that undo each other. |
| reciprocal | one of a pair of numbers whose product is 1: the reciprocal of 2/3 is 3/2... |
| proportion | an equation that states that two ratios are equal. |
| ratio | a comparison of two numbers by division. |
| opposite | two numbers the same distance from zero, with the same absolute value but different signs. |
| transformation | a function that changes the position or direction of the axes of a coordinate system. |
