Cape | a point of land extending into a body of water (like a peninsula) |
Isthmus | narrow stretch of land connecting two larger land areas |
Delta | land made of silt left behind as a river drains into a larger body of water |

Mouth of a River | place where a river empties into a larger body of water |
Lake | a body of (usually fresh) water surrounded by land |
