Would Japan have surrendered without the use of atomic weapons? What evidence is there? yes, but it may have taken a while, the US navy blockade was keeping essential supplies out of Japan and Japan was losing soldiers and civilians fast, but japan was unwilling to surrender because of bushido and other factors, the japanese thought they would be enslaved if they surrendered
After reading this section, what do you think of the U.S. decision to use the atomic bombs? Does the information from this reading change your thinking in any way? i think that it was the right decision no matter what
