Quizlet has many teacher-friendly features. You can use it to:

  • Give your students a study tool that’s both powerful and fun, encouraging them to learn.
  • Share study materials online with your classes.
  • Generate photocopy-ready flashcards or tests for in-class distribution.
  • Host a group where your students can create and discuss study materials for your class.
  • Notify students by email when you’ve posted new study materials.
  • See what other teachers are teaching in your subject area.

FAQ: Can I see or monitor my students’ Quizlet results?

Thursday, March 12th, 2009

Quizlet is a study tool for students, and therefore does not include monitoring capabilities for teachers.

However, if you know your students’ usernames, you can go to their individual dashboards to see what they have been studying.

Also, some teachers occasionally ask students to print screenshots of Quizlet tests or results.

FAQ: How can teachers and schools best organize their Quizlet materials?

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

Many teachers and school administrators have asked us for advice on organizing their Quizlet study materials. Here are some options and ideas:

  • Teachers, under their own usernames, can create groups for each of their classes or subjects, and use those groups to share flashcards with their students.
  • Teachers can create a ‘faculty group’ to share flashcard sets with other faculty members. When any faculty member creates a new flash card set, they can allow editing only by other members of this faculty group, enabling colleagues but not students to add or update material.
  • Administrators (or teachers) can create a school-wide Quizlet account and then organize flash card sets (by subject, grade level, class) using Quizlet’s subject tagging system.
