Over the weekend we upgraded several areas of the site. Here’s a quick look at some of the changes that will make using Quizlet even better.
Make Flashcards:
The main Create/Edit page used to create and edit flashcard sets was in need of a redesign. The top half of the page had too many options, took up too much space, and needed to be cleaned up. Here’s the old version:

After the redesign, there’s a cleaner user interface.

We simplified the different options (without really removing functionality) and made it quicker to scan past the different permissions options since most people on Quizlet just use the defaults. If you do want to restrict who can see/edit your set to certain groups or people with a password, just change the “Visible to” and “Editors” dropdowns.
We did take one feature off of this page: the ability to “share” your public sets with groups. We didn’t remove this feature though, we just moved it to where we thought it made a little more sense: on the Set and Group pages… see below.
Set Page:
Look for the new “Add set to group” link from any public set page to add the set directly to one or more of your groups.

The great thing about taking this feature off the Create Set page is that you can now add other people’s public sets to your groups. For example, if you search and find a flashcard set that you think your friends in your Spanish class might find useful as well, just add it to your group!
Group Page:
We also made several changes to the group pages, most notably we added the “Add a set” link and redid the “Invite friends” link.

We’ve made it easy to add your public sets and favorites directly from a group page, which you could never do before:

The “Invite friends” link now brings up a popup and lets you quickly and easily invite friends to your group by Quizlet username, email address (in case they’re not already members). If you’ve linked your Facebook to Quizlet, we’ll also show you a list of your Facebook friends who are also on Quizlet.

We’re excited to launch these new updates. What do you think? Questions? Comments? Send us a feedback message!
Cool!!!! Quizlet just keeps rolling out the features! Keep it up you guys!
**FIRST!!!**
cool
first is the worst second is the hahah ctyonahl
second is the best…
THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!!! 8-P
i really prefer the older design, its much easier to add to a group, without having to restrict it… maybe they will add that function later…..
@Anonymous – good point, though we think it’s pretty easy to just add a set to a group immediately after creating the set, and is worth the simplification
Love this idea! How can I upgrade to this setting? And is it only for Mac users or also for PC users? I’d love to try this! Thanks Quizlet for getting me 1st honors!!!
Love all you guys @ Quizlet! Thanks 4 all of the new features! ;D
thanx! this is way easier!
thanks guys
so cool! keep the updates cominnn!!!!
I liked the old page where only you could add your sets to other group. Don’t want my sets ending up in weird places.
Cool. I noticed the changes.
Look up my poster name. I dare you guys to.
some of these help me.but where they but adding to groups doesn’t at all. THAT is anoying
Meh, I wouldn’t say that the new set options were complicated, and I wouldn’t say that you guys made it simpler (Although it is cleaner). The new invite and group features are nice though.
You guys are the best!! I particularly like the friend adding option because I don’t always know my friends’ user names!!
I like the redesign… but I’d like to see the share with groups option return as a dropdown item… thanks ;~)
i dont get it that well but anyway… HORAY 4 QLZT
i like the redesign but i want to instantly be able to share my newest sets on the “edit set” page though
Hey(: Thank you quizlet! Sounds greaatt! Whats upp people?
and while you’re at it… i’d like the search results to display my sets first before sets of other members… or altneratively… an option to search my sets only… cheers ;~)
cool, but prefered older design, probably just because i was more used to it though
i love the new interface. it looks so much better. just finished editing some stuff and instantly thought it looked soooo much simpler
@David
I agree with both of your suggestions.
I agree with all… =)
Totally excited about all this new stuff, seems so much more organized with each step quizlet takes.
This is awesome!! Quizlet, you really are improving this whole thing a lot. Thanks so much!!!
AMAZING!! (OH MY GOD MCGIRL!!!!)
yeah
yeah
WOW!!! : )
OK so I realize that Share with Groups has been moved to Visible to certain groups… with the private setting turned on after a set is added… will this impact the ability to access these sets with a smart phone?
The old design was much more impressive. The bling is unnescessary in my opinion.
