Quizlet announces API 2.0

mobile

We here at Quizlet are proud to announce the beta launch of the second version of our API. This launch is a major improvement of the API that powers over 50 mobile apps.

If you’re a developer, you will no doubt be keen to take advantage of the new features that version 2 provides. You can start by exploring our new API 2.0 documentation.

So, what does this mean for Quizlet users?

You should be excited because this means that mobile, iPad and other apps will be able to do a lot more!

For example, you should expect to see apps that let you:

  • view your private sets and groups,
  • view your favorites and study sessions (and even see your scores!),
  • create, edit and delete your sets, and
  • even create, edit and delete terms one-at-a-time

And you will be able to do all of the above on your phone or iPad!

We will be adding even more features to this API over the coming weeks too, so keep watching this space!

    I wish there was a Quizlet-made app with all the features Quizlet gives you. I’d really like to use the learn mode on my iPod instead of just plain flashcard apps.

    Obviously your users want you to make an App. If you’re a good company do it and do it free for iPhone and Android.

    mmmmm: You should probably highlight important points and study ahead of when she tells you the things that’ll be on the test… once she tells you just review the things that’ll be on the test for like 30m – 1 hour

    I would also say to make your own app, but also, making the quizlet website work better on the iPad. For example, the auto difine does not work on the iPad, because you cannot scroll down.

    Please somebody Make a good blackberry app. There are still a lot of us blackberry users out there (can’t beat blackberry battery life!). We love quizlet and we lover our blackberries! =D

    You know what would be awesome? A free Quizlet app for iOS(iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch), Android, and Blackberry that lets you use ALL the features (like what everyone else said) and an app for the Mac App Store. Why a Mac App? I’d love to have a UI that is designed for Lion users, and it would help those of us who have issues because of the Safari glitch in OS X Lion.
