Sprechen Sie Deutsch?

Guten Tag Quizlet users, we’re proud to announce that Quizlet’s user interface is now available in German. For those of you who have your browser language set to German, you’ve probably already noticed the change. If, however, your browser is in English and you’d like to brush up on your Deutsch by using German Quizlet, just look for the new Language dropdown menu at the bottom of your screen on any page:

If you decide you’d like to switch back to English, you can do so at any time using that same language dropdown menu. Quizlet will even remember your language preferences!

All credit goes to a handful of awesome, dedicated volunteers:

  • Annett Graefe – lead translator
  • Susanne Winchester – reviewer
  • Dr. Cindy – reviewer

A big thank you also goes to our team of translation testers:

  • The_Teacher
  • Wolfga
  • uk63
  • scottiedoo
  • Swedenfox
  • 154926

We’ve also been working with volunteers for four other languages, and their translations are almost ready to go; stay tuned for Quizlet in French, Spanish, Japanese, and Chinese coming soon!

Note that, ironically, the user interface will be in English while you are reading the blog. If you’ve selected “Deutsch” from the language dropdown, just click “Home” to see Quizlet in German when you’re done reading.

Want to learn more about the translation project? Want to see Quizlet in your language? Or better yet, want to get involved? Check out our FAQ page or send an email to support@quizlet.com. We’d love to hear from you!

Frohes Lernen!

  24. Ionna:

I opened the page after I hadn’t used it for a while and checked whether I’d typed in some lessons already… I noticed something was not like it used to… After some clicks I noticed that everything was written in German!
well, strange I noticed it so late o.O
I won’t use the German version because I’m used to the English one.
    But I think it’s a great thing.
Especially for those who don’t speak English that well ( I had to look up some words when I was new here, too ;P)
I hope other versions will follow soon!
I want to “brush” up my foreign language proficiencies ;P
    Thanks a lot!
