FAQ: Chat and discussion
Chat and discussion is only available for Quizlet users 13 and over.
On the main Flashcard page for any set, there is a Discuss box in the lower lefthand corner of the page. To add your own messages, type in the text box and click "Send." You can also click "Pop out" to see a larger screen version of the Discussion box.
Delete a chat/discussion
You can delete your own discussion messages at any time. Simply click on the red "X" next to your message.
On a flashcard set you have created, you can moderate the discussion. You will see a red "X" next to every message and have the ability to any or all messages.
Enable discussion in a flashcard set
You can enable or disable discussion on any flashcard set you created. First, click Edit This on the main flashcard page.
Next click on the box that says "Allow set discussion." If you see a checkmark in the box it is active; no checkmark and it is not. Finally, remember to click "Save" at the bottom of the page.
Enable discussion in a group
On the "Create a new group" page check the "enable live discussion box."
You can also enable or disable discussion in an existing group at any time if you are the group's creator. Under "Admin Settings" make sure the "Enable live discussion box" is checked and then click "Edit Settings."
