  1. Adjacent angles: angles that share a vertex and a side but have no interior points in common.
  2. Coefficient: the numerical factor in any term of polynomial
  3. Cones: figure that has exactly one circular base and one vertex
  4. Constant: in a polynomial, a term that does not contain a variable is a constant
  5. Cylinder: a figure that has two bases that are parallel
  6. Distance formula: D=RT
  7. Domain: the set of the first coordinates
  8. Formula: an equation that shows the relationship between two or more quantities
  9. Hypotenuse: in a right triangle, it is the longest side which is opposite the right angle
  10. Lateral area: the sum of the areas of the lateral surfaces of a solid.
  11. Legs of a right triangle: the two sides that form the right angle
  12. Linear equation: an equation where all of its solutions lie on a line
  13. Linear inequality: an inequality that can be written y<mx+b with these symbols < > < >
  14. Prism: a solid with two parallel and congruent polygonal faces called bases. A prism is named for the shape of its base
  15. Pyramids: a solid with triangular faces that meet at a vertex
  16. Pythagorean Theorem: in any right triangle, the sum of the squares of the lengths of the legs is equal to the square of the length of the hypotenuse
  17. Range of a function: all y values are out put variables
  18. Rational number: any number written as a quotient of two integers where the denominator is not zero.
  19. Scatter plot: a graph that displays two sets of data as ordered pairs
  20. Scientific notation: the first function is greater than or equal to 1 and less than 10, and the second factor is a power of 10
  21. Slope: the slant of a line that describes steepness.
  22. Slope intercept form: an equation written in the form y=mx+b is in slope-intercept form. The graph is a line with slope m and y-intercept b.
  23. Solids: three dimensional figures are objects that do not lie in a plane. They have length width and height
  24. Standard form: a number written using digits and place value is in standard form
  25. Surface area: the sum of the areas of its surface
  26. Term: a number, a variable, or the product of a number and a variable
  27. X-Y Intercepts: the x and y-coordinates of the point where a line crosses the x or y-axis.
