The giving of human qualities to an animal, object, or idea.
Hyperbole

The repetition of consonant sounds at the beginnings of words.
Onomatopoeia
The use of words that imitate sounds.
Metaphor
A comparison of two unlike things, but does NOT use the words "like" or "as".
Simile
A comparison of two unlike things using the words "like" or "as".
