Term Definition
Mass The amount of matter in an object that contains grams, miiligrams, and killograms
Grams a unit of measure that is about the same size of a paperclip
Milligrams a unit of measure that is about the mass of a grain of suger
Killograms a unit of measure that is about the mass of a book
Capacity The amount that a container can hold that contains liters, milliliters, and kiloliters
Liters The capacity of a bottle of water
Milliliters The capacity of an eyedropper
Kiloliters The same capacity of 5 bathtubs
Communtative Property You can multiply numbers in any order, Example: 3- (6x8)=6- (8x3)
Associative Property Changing the grouping of factors will not change the product, Example: (3+8) x16= 3+ (8x16)
Distributive Property You can multiply a number and a sum by multiplying the number by each part of the sum and then adding these products, the same property applies with subtraction
