Description
This set includes the previous "simple" set with some new twists: Dakuten, handakuten, and yoon characters. These have some pretty simple rules to them:
Dakuten (the " mark after symbols) change the consonant to a "voiced" consonant. Ka becomes ga, da ta, sa za, and ha mysteriously becomes ba. With handakuten, a small circle after an h-based letter, the h- becomes a p- (hi becomes pi).
Yoon is even simpler to remember: Yoon pairings combine one of the three y- sounds with a consonant, transforming them into a single syllable. It's important to be able to recognize these, because you must read them as "kya" instead of two separate sounds, like "ki-ya."
