Constituency The body of citizens eligible to vote in an incumbent's state or district

Law A bill that has survived committee and the president
Veto The president's disapproval of a bill; after this happens, the bill is sent back to Congress
Representation Function Congress represents each state's views
Logrolling The practice of trading one's vote with another member's so that both get what they want
Oversight Function The responsibility of Congress to see that the exeutive branch carries out the laws faithfully and spends money properly
