Term Definition
Transformation A change in the points of a figure that results in a change in positon, shape, size or appearance of the figure such as a translation, reflection rotation or dilatation.
Reflection Involves a flip of points about a given mirror line so that the perpendicular distance between a given point and the mirror line is equal to the perpendicular distance between the image point and the mirror line.
Rotation Involves a point of rotation where the original figure rotates in a specific direction over a specific angle.
Dilatation Enlarges or reduces a figure by a scale factor based on a center point
Transilations A transformation that moves the original figure based on a horizontal and vertical factor.
