farrioth : Hi. I have noticed a couple of errors in this set.
farrioth : Fako should be 'department, section', rather than 'speciality '. Also, my dictionary gives 'contingent, eventual' for evantuala. Sata means 'satisfied', not necessarily 'full of food'.
farrioth : I would also define opinii as 'opine, think', rather than 'to have a opinion'. And the month names should be capitalised in Esperanto too.
frimmin : Thanks for your feedback,Farrioth. Fak- really is more varied than just a department. "mia faka programlingvo" means "the programming language I specialize in."
frimmin : "opine, think" are throwaway dictionary definitions. When was the last time you ever used the verb "opine" in everyday conversation. Pensi is by far more common for "to think," so I gave the definition of "to have an opinion" which is exactly what "opinii" means.
frimmin : Esperanto doesn't get overly specific about capitalization except for what are unquestionably proper nouns. More and more Esperantists are writing month names in lowercase, although official recommendations are to capitalize them. I may change this, might not.
frimmin : "Eventual" is a horrible definition for "eventuala." The word really means "in the possible scenario that "x" happens. "Eventuality" is an ugly English word that somewhat covers the meaning, but still confuses many English speakers with "eventual" implying that x is certain to happen. Contigent is not very good, either. How often do you use it? These are very basic, everyday Esp-o words. I choose a roundabout translation deliberately here.
frimmin : You're right that "sata" means "satisfied." I'm going to change this to "satisfied, not hungry." Far and away, the most common basic usage of sata is to mean "full" in the sense of not being hungry. "malsata" simply means "hungry" although "sata" is used more broadly.
frimmin : As you study Esperanto, please keep in mind that dictionaries are simply an aid... the usage is sometimes different. Reading Eo blogs, listening to Eo podcasts, and practicing with Eo speakers is the best way to progress.

farrioth : Hi frimmin. Thanks for your response. I take your points about most of these words, except 'opinii'. I believe that 'opine' is a more consise definition than 'to have an opinion', as this is what 'opine' means. I do not think this warps the meaning of the word. Also, 'opine' is common enough in everyday language. Most of the changes I suggested were simply based on checking various dictionaries.
