Why should Americans study world history? |
a) to be aware that we owe a dept to other peoples. b) to learn about racial and ethnic backgrounds. -as Americans, we all have come from somewhere else or are descended from those who did. c) To learn the lessons of the past. - the problems we face today are similar to those faced by others in the past. d) To understand our interdependent world. - for our government to participate successfully in world affairs, we must attain insight into world problems. |
