The long-term force of the blood against your artery walls is high enough that it may eventually cause health problems, such as heart disease.
How is Blood Pressure determined?
By the amount of blood your heart pumps and the amount of resistance to blood flow in your arteries.
Is Hypertension possible to have without knowing?
Yes; a person may have hypertension for years without showing any symptoms. However, damage to blood vessels and your heart continues and can be detected.
What types of problems could happen from Hypertension?
Heart Attack, Heart Disease, Stroke, etc.
What are the possible symptoms of Hypertension?
Headaches, Shortness of Breath, or Nosebleeds. However, these won't normally occur unless the Hypertension is nearing severe or life-threatening stages.

Blacks are more common to have it set in earlier than Whites.
