Jesus once said: "Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for justice, for they shall be satisfied." This quote from the beatitudes affects my own life because it helps me to understand that if I feel that I need justice for something or need to be reconciled for my actions, they will be given justice. God will grant me justice whether it be in my life now, or in heaven.
how do you know you are loved and how do you love others? provide examples to support your answer?
The way i know i am loved and the way i love others is through sacrifice. Just like God sacrificed himself for our salvation, we sacrifice things for the people we love. They might not be big sacrifices but its the thought of giving up something for another person shows that person how much they mean to you.
Why does the word become flesh? Include at least 3 reasons.
3 ways the word becomes flesh is to reconcile us with god, to manifest his love and to defeat the devil. the first way is to reconcile us with god, from the fall of creation there is a rift between god and man and because of this there needed to be a sacrifice, even with the sacrifice we are born with original sin and we must atone for that sin. The second way is to manifest his love for us, he wants to show us he loves us through sacrifice and he wants us to serve him out of love not fear. god does not need anything, he is infinitely happy. The third way is to defeat the devil. In the protoevangelium It says the seed of the woman was going to crash the head of the snake, Jesus became man to redeem humanity from sin and death and because of the devil sin came into the world, The devil tempts us to do the wrong thing and he needs to defeat the devil so we can.
