the act of making and recording a measurement
hypothesis
an explanation that is based on prior scientific research or observations and that can be tested
prediction
what you think will happen in a scientific investigation, based upon your hypothesis
variable
a factor that changes in an experiment in order to test a hypothesis
experimental group
A subject or group of subjects in an experiment that is exposed to the factor or condition being tested, in an experiment, a group that is identical to a control group except for one factor and that is compared with the control group
control group
the group that does not receive the experimental treatment.
data
