Superior Vena Cava

Inferior Vena Cava
Blood, low in oxygen, from the lower portions of the body returns to the heart through this vein.
Right Atrium
Chamber of the heart that takes in blood low in oxygen. Blood is coming from the body.
Tricuspid Valve
Valve that separates the right atrium and right ventricle
Right Ventricle
This chamber of the heart will pump blood out of the heart through the pulmonary artery.
Pulmonary Artery
Takes blood low in oxygen from the heart to the lungs.
Lungs
Re-oxygenates blood!
Pulmonary Vein
Blood is carried in this vessel from the lungs to the heart. The blood is rich in oxygen.
Left Atrium
Chamber of the heart where blood high in oxygen enters.
Mitral (bi-cuspid) Valve
Valve that separates the left atrium and left ventricle.
Left Ventricle
Chamber of the heart that pumps blood into the aorta.
Aorta
Blood vessel that carries oxygen rich blood to the body.
Coronary Arteries
Blood vessels that surround the outside of the heart and supply the heart tissue with oxygen and nutrients.
Pericardium
Thin membrane that covers and protects the heart.
Septum
Wall that divides the two sides of the heart.
