British East India Company
A joint-stock company that operated like a multinational corporation. It had exclusive rights over British trade with India, led in India by Robert Clive during the Seven Years' War, ridded the subcontinent of Frenchmen.
Led the BEIC to rid India of French in the 1750s, successfully conquered Bengal (Bangladesh).
Indian people that worked for the British, mostly as soldiers. They rebelled in 1857 because the Brits didn't respect their religious customs.
Bahadur Shah II
Last Mughal emperor, exiled for protesting sepoy punishment, marking the end of the Mughal Empire. After this, the British government took India from the BEIC and Queen Victoria became Empress of India.
