Why does the garbage can make a burping sound?
The yeast in the garbage can was producing carbon dioxide gas, so the gas escaping the can made the burping sound.
How does Drake & Nell use their "scientific method" to prove they are good scientists?
They have a notebook where they write down all their observations, they make an hypothesis, then try to simulate or reproduce the results to prove their hypothesis. Their observations were: can sounded hollow, Gabby's dad was a baker (maybe he threw something in the can), it smelled like bread baking, recorded the temperature of the can (87).
