What is Groundwater
•It is water that filters down
through soil and fills the space between
particles of rock and soil, and the cracks and fractures in underlying rock.

•when pollutants are released to the ground and make their way down into groundwater.

from natural sources or numerous types of
human activities. Waste from residential,
commercial, industrial and agricultural
activities can seriously affect groundwater
