Dense, irregularly arranged connective tissue occurs in sheets and forms most fascinating, the dermis of the skin, the fibrous capsules of some organs. (kidney, liver, testes, and lymph nodes) the periosteum of bone and the perichondrium of cartilage. The principle component of tendons, ligaments, and aponeuroses. Dense irregularly arranged collagenous connective tissue forms membrane capsules around the kidneys, heart, testes, liver, and lymph nodes. Also forms deep fascia sheets of connective tissue wrapped around muscles to hold them in place.
