Equilibrium or rest position
is where the mass would be located when forces acting on it are balanced or the position before the vibrational force is applied to it.

the number of waves passing by a location in one second.
Measured in Hertz (Hz) = cycle (waves) / sec
the time it takes for one wave to pass by a location.
Period is the inverse of the frequency (sec/cycle)
is the displacement (distance) of the mass above or below the rest position (equilibrium).
Measure of the amount of energy in a wave.
