Diagnosis & Treatments
Diagnosis consists of gentle palpation of the lumbar and sacral vertebral segments assessing tissue compliance, this may be performed with the infant in any position. The direction of force used at each segment for assessment may be inferior, anterior, or combined. Treatment consists of gentle decompression of each restricted segment. The force is gentle, consistent and direct into the barrier, similar to a myofascial release technique.
