Delta
Curved or pointed part of a coastline where the land juts into the water.
Cape
Narrow channel of water joining two larger bodies of water.
Strait
Body of water surrounded entirely by land. Fresh (not salty) water.
Lake
Chain of connected mountains.
Mountain Range
Large body of water separating continents.
Ocean
Large stream of water that flows from mountains to lake or ocean.
River
Area of low-lying land between mountains or hills.
Valley
Expanse of water with many islands.
Archipelago
Opening in earth's crust through which lava (etc.) may erupt.
Volcano
Raised land, higher than a hill with steep rocky sides.
Mountain
Body of land, smaller than a continent entirely surrounded by water.

Raised area of land that is lower than a mountain with a rounded top.

Broad area of mostly flat land at a high elevation.

Piece of land jutting out into the water which surrounds it on three sides.

Long, broad inlet of ocean usually parallel to the coast.

Body of water partly enclosed by land with access to ocean. Smaller than gulf.
