During Tom's exercising period at prison camp, he chose to escape. Guards chased after him. As he was about to hop over the fence, police shot him 17 times, leaving him to die.
Describe the meeting between Scout and Boo. How does it compare to her fantasy?
Scout met Boo in Jem's bedroom and it seems as if she had known him forever by her introduction. In her fantasy, he was sitting on the porch, she walked by, they talked about the weather, and she went on with her life.
What was the reason for the Halloween Pageant?
The previous year, two deaf ladies, Tutti and Frutti, were pranked on by some kids. The children broke into their home and moved all their furniture into the cellar. The pageant was a way to not let events like this happen and have an eye on all kids
What was Scout's costume and what was it made out of. How did it later on help her?
For the pageant, Scout was a cured ham. Made from chicken wire and brown cloth, which later helped protect her from Bob Ewell killing her with a knife.

On Scout and Jem's way to the pageant, Cecil had jumped out a scared him. The two kids figured it was just Cecil try to pull another prank on them.
