What is a primary source?
Primary sources are the raw materials of history — original documents and objects which were created at the time under study.
What is a gothic setting including?
(often initial capital letter) noting or pertaining to a style of literature characterized by a gloomy setting, grotesque, mysterious, or violent events, and an atmosphere of degeneration and decay: 19th-century gothic novels.
Imagery means to use figurative language to represent objects, actions and ideas in such a way that it appeals to our physical senses.

In this figure of speech, two things are compared that are not really the same, but are used to make a point about each other.
"Life is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you're going to get"
Adverb Clause ?
First, an adverb clause always contains a subject and a verb.
Second, adverb clauses contain subordinate conjunctions that prevent them from containing complete thoughts and becoming full sentences.
Third, all adverb clauses answer one of the classic "adverb questions:" When? Why? How? Where?
Adverb Clause example?
Jennifer scrubbed the bathtub until her arms ached. (This adverb clause describes how Jennifer scrubbed.)
Adjectives modify nouns and pronouns, giving a description or more information. An adjective clause is simply a group of words with a subject and a verb that provide a description. The clause starts with a pronoun such as who, whom, that, or which or an adverb such as when, where and why.
Adjective Clause example?
The books, which are lost, are not really necessary.
An infinitive phrase includes the infinitive, plus any modifiers and complements. Infinitives and infinitive phrases can function as nouns, adjectives, or adverbs in a sentence. As nouns, infinitives and infinitive phrases can act either as subjects, direct objects, or predicate nominatives.
Infinitive Phrase example?
Thomas wants to take swimming lessons.

Past Participle example?
The verbs "thrown" in "the ball has been thrown" and "raised" in "many hands were raised" are past participles.
