A large animal used by the Plains and Plateau Indians for food, shelter and clothing.

Where did the Nez Perce live?
They had fish to eat from the many rivers in the region. They migrated to hunt and gather food during the Fall and Winter. They large feast called potlatches that lasted for several days.
What did the Nez Perce eat?
They wore decorated clothes made from Animal Skins and moccasins.
What did the Nez Perce wear?
They lived in teepees which were cone-shape tents made with animal skins stretched over frames of wooden poles.
