Information about physical objects that can be represented by numerical values in geographical coordinates system.
Geographic Information System (GIS)
Computer program that stores geographic data and produces maps to show the data.
Global Positioning System (GPS)
System of satellites used to determine an exact location on global grid.
The trend toward increased cultural and economic connectedness between people, businesses, and organizations throughout the world.

Location (absolute, relative)
Absolute location is the position of an object on a global grid longitude one latitude

The idea that distance between some places is actually shrinking as technology enables more rapid communication and increased interaction between those places.
