Gave qualified ppl jobs. They had to go through many tests. Only rich ppl had enough money to educate sons.
Han Dynasty and Inventions
Liu Bang was the founder of this dynasty. He was a peasant he created the Civil Service Exam. They Han inventions are the waterwheel, steel, paper, medicine and rudders on boats and new sails. The fall of the Han dynasty was because they lost power and respect. People rebelliod and Nomads invaded.
Zhang Qian was sent on a quest to explore the west. He returned after 13 yrs. he had found horses. He wanted some horses so he created the silk road so he could trade.
Buddhism was brought to China by merchants and teachers. It become popular after the fall of the Han Dynasty because it gave ppl to cope w/ stress.
