Compaction

Cementation
The process in which minerals precipitate into pore spaces between sediment grains and bind sediments together to form rock.
Clastic Sedimentary Rocks
formed from products of other broken up rocks (lots of pore space)
Chemical Sedimentary Rocks
form when minerals are precipitated from a solution or left behind when a solution evaporates
Organic Sedimentary Rocks
rocks formed from remains of living things
Conglomerate
a group of diverse companies under common ownership and run as a single organization

a rudaceous rock consisting of sharp fragments embedded in clay or sand

the placing of seeds in damp sand or sawdust or peat moss in ordere to preserve them or promote germination

a lump of sediment that forms inside a sedimentary rock
