-Objects: tangible to the senses, often seen/heard (must be easy to see/hear and not awkward)
-Models: used when objects are unavailable or unsuited in natural state.
-People: can provide descriptions to aid a speech
2D presentation aids
-Drawing: generally, larger audiences need larger, less complicated pictures
-Photos: better used in conjunction with technology, not good to pass around pics
-Maps
