condition that is a RESULT of a change in the independent variable. AKA- responding variable.
condition used for comparison to note if a change has occurred. It is often a group/item that does not have the independent variable applied to it. It can be an initial measurement.
the amount of space an object (matter) occupies
the amount of mass within a specific volume
formula for volume
v = (l)(w)(h)
formula for density
the amount of matter in an object; not dependent on gravity
units for volume
units for volume (liquid)
3 states of matter
solid, liquid, gas

how are weight and mass different?
weight depends on gravity,
the force of an object due to gravitational force
-uses one or more senses to gather information (sight, sound, smell, touch, etc.)
-FACTS, not opinion
