Atticus is bothered by the verdict.
2.) After Jem expresses disillusionment over the trial and the verdict, Miss Maudie defends the town and its people. What does she say to Jem.
she says "don't fret, Jem. Things are never as bad as they seem. There are some men in this world that need to do unpleasant things and your father is one of them."
3.) What causes Miss Maudie to say that at least they have made a step up in the right direction?
because the ruling on Tom Robinson was a unfair ruling because they favored whites.
4.) What kind of clown does dill decide to be? Explain his reasoning.
