Blogosphere
All blogs, or the blogging community.
Blogroll
A blogroll is essentially just a list of links that appears in your sidebar.

A collection of topic specific posts.
Comments
Enabling readers to leave their remarks.
Dashboard
When you login to your blogging account, it is the first screen with all controls, tools and functions. The dashboard is the "back end," of your site, and only you (and any users you've assigned) can see it. The "front end" is what the outside world sees when they visit your blog.
Flame
A hostile exchange.
Footer
The most bottom part of the blog usually listing navigation and copyright statements
FTP
Short for file transfer protocol. Transferring file to and fro from your web host using FTP tools like Filezilla.
Frontpage
the first page in a blog, sometimes called the Index page.
Header
The topmost part of the blog usually listing the blog title.
HTML
The acronym for HyperText Markup Language. The coding language used to create and link together documents and files on the World Wide Web. The code is embedded in and around text and multimedia files in order to define layout, font, colors, and graphics.
Hyperlink
A navigational reference to another document or page on the World Wide Web.
Index Page
Another name for the front page for the blog.
Jump
The continuation of a the story on another page to preserve space on index page.
Permalink
A link to a specific article.
Ping
Short for Packet Internet Grouper. Blog and ping helps to notify other blog tracking tools for updates, changes and trackbacks.
Pingback
The alert in the TrackBack system that notifies the original poster of a blog post when someone else writes an entry concerning the original post.
Plugins
Small files that add improved functionality and new features. WordPress plugins can greatly improve your blog usage and interactivity.
Post
An entry written and published to a blog.
Post Slug
For blogs with common language URLs, the post slug is the portion of the URL that represents the post. Example: http://domain.com/2008/01/this-is-the-post-slug
Post, Entry
Individual articles that make up a blog.
RSS
Really Simple Syndication is a family of Web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines or podcasts.
RSS Agregator
Software or online service allowing a blogger to read an RSS feed, especially the latest posts on their favorite blogs. Also called a reader, or feedreader.
RSS Feed
The file containing a blog's latest posts. It is read by an RSS aggregator/reader and shows at once when a blog has been updated. It may contain only the title of the post, the title plus the first few lines of a post, or the entire post.
Sidebar
One or more columns along one or both sides of most blogs main page
Subscribe
The term used when a blogs feed is added to a feed reader like Bloglines or Google. Some blogging platforms have internal subscriptions, this allows readers to receive notification when there are new posts in a blog.
Tag Clouds
Displaying tags lists or keywords in a blog.
Tags
Labelling / attaching keywords to collect similar posts.
Template
The blog presentation design.
Thread
A series of remarks posted by people in a public comment section of a blog that follow a conversational and topic related sequence.
Trackback
A system by which a ping is sent to another blog to notify that their article has been mentioned by you.
Vlog
A video blog; a vlogger is a video blogger (e.g. someone who records himself interviewing people of a certain field).
Widget
A small application that can be installed and executed within a blog by an end user, usually placed in a sidebar.
Media Library
holds images, audio, sound, and video for your blog
