Dr. George Wald's two possible origins of life

2. "Single, primary act of supernatural creation"- aka God
3rd potential origin of life presented by some scientists
Panspermia- life was deposited on earth, purposefully or on accident; from meteors counting microscopic forms or by other distinct life forms; Aka- aliens
Melchizadek

d. Nebraska Man- found 1 tooth, later found jaw bone; actually tooth of extinct species of pig
VII. Problems with Natural Selection
a. Eyes - "To suppose that the eye...could have been formed by natural selection; seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest degree"
- Darwin, Origin of Species

Divine and human natures are mixed together indistinguishably

Synergism says that man has something todo with being converted to some degree; this goes against scripture because see we have nothing to do with it, the Holy Spirit comes into our hearts and gives us faith
2 laws of Thermodynamics and how they go against evolution
matter and energy cannot be created or destroyed, energy is lost in a system and Entropy Effect- over time systems break down, order goes into chaos; evolution has us getting better and more advanced
Explanation and danger of Gnosticism
Denies the bodily Christ; impossible for Word to take on human flesh; Word (Jesus) had no true human body, so it couldn't die or rise, therefore our sin wouldn't have been taken away and we would all go to hell
2 natures of Christ (Genus Majestaticum)
Communication of Attributes
aka- Communicatio Idiomatum
Certain attributes of the divine nature are communicated to the human nature; Ex: a Sword takes on characteristics of a fire (heat, color) but remains a sword (interpenetration); There is no reciprocity (Devine nature doesn't acquire human characteristics (not vice versa))
