Steps for the counterstrain technique?
Find a significant counterstrain point.
2) Assign a pain level (10 of 10).
3) Position the patient for maximum comfort. (Pain level or 3 or less, 0 is
preferred)
4) Maintain the position for 90 seconds.
5) Slowly return the patient to a neutral position while maintaining contact with
the point.
6) Recheck the point.
