- white wines made from Verdicchio
- high acidity, green apple, lemons, fennel, almonds
- many are simple and fruity
- best are concentrated, developing notes of honey and almonds with bottle age

Montepulciano d'Abruzzo
- Montepulciano grape
- high colour and tannin, medium acidity, black plums, cherrries
- many are simply and fruity, without oak
- best are concentrated and matured for a short time in oak
