Action taken to reduce or eliminate the long-term risk to human life and property from natural hazards, such as building earthquake - proof buildings or making international agreements about carbon reduction targets.

Energy that can be produced again and again using wind, solar or hydro
Carbon capture
the technique of capturing CO2 from coal or oil fired power plants and burying it deep underground, to keep it out of the atmosphere

Planting seeds or trees to make a forest on land that has not been a forest recently to capture Carbon
