Jim Crow Laws
The first Black college established in America. It was exemplary Booker T. Washington's philosophy of the best way to overcome the shackles of segregation.
The group of politicians that wrestled control of reconstruction away from Abe Lincoln and Andrew Johnson. In part they deserve the bad wrap they have gotten but they also did some noteworthy altruistic things.
The most notorious example of these was the Ku Klux Klan. Basically they were illegal groups who tried to engineer southern society via intimidation.
The time period of American history between Appomattox and the Compromise of 1877.

Civil Rights Amendments
The way we refer to America's suit against England for damages caused by the Confederate Raiders, particularly one of them.
This means to bring to trial. It does not necessarily mean to remove from office. It's happened to Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton.
This resulted in the Hayes presidency but ushered in Jim Crow segregation as northern Republicans agreed to leave the south and "carpetbag" government came to an end.
