Comparing Singular Possessive Nouns and Plural Nouns
To determine which noun is in the sentence, ask this question:
"Does the ____________________ own something in this sentence?"
--> What is owned? If something is owned, then it is a singular possessive noun. (Hint: look for an apostrophe and s) Ex-dancer's
-->How many are there? If there is more than one, then it is a plural noun. Ex-dancers
