Protrudes jaw and opens mouth. Sphenoid bone and pterygoid plate. Condyle of mandible and TMJ capsule.
Medial pterygoid
Pulls mandible upward and forward, and closes mouth. Pterygoid plate, palatine bone, and maxillary tuberosity. Ramus and angle of mandible.
Frontalis
Raises and lowers eyebrows. Frontal bone. Skin above eyes.
Orbicularis oris
Puckers lips. Maxilla, mandible, lips, and buccinator. Mucous membrane and lip muscles.
Buccinator
Compresses cheeks and lips. Maxilla and mandible. Orbicularis oris.
Zygomatic
Pulls corner of lips up, back, and outward. Zygomatic bone. Orbicularis oris.
Mentalis
Pushes lower lip up. Midline of mandible. Skin of chin.
